One of the participating youths shared, "In reality, it is not easy to access proper financial education," and expressed, "I joined this project because I want to gain financial confidence."
The "With Woori Wealth Project" is a social contribution program in collaboration with the Community Chest of Korea and Dream Makers Social Cooperative. It provides integrated support covering "basic finance, practical finance, and psychological recovery" for young people from vulnerable groups-such as youth caring for family members, NEET (Not in Education, Employment, or Training) youth, youth preparing for independence, and socially withdrawn youth-who have limited access to practical financial education. This support aims to prevent them from falling victim to financial fraud, excessive debt, or social isolation due to a lack of financial literacy. The program is based on practical financial simulation and includes ▲ financial competency training ▲ virtual investment experience ▲ one-on-one financial management consulting ▲ youth-led small group activities ▲ and professional psychological counseling services.
Woori Investment & Securities supports the entire process, from education to consulting and account opening, to ensure that financial knowledge is connected to real-life practice. The program is conducted three times with the voluntary participation of Woori Investment & Securities financial experts, and provides both a venue for group education and commemorative gifts from Woori Friends.
Youth who complete the entire program will receive one-on-one asset-building consulting from Woori Investment & Securities staff and be awarded 1.5 million won in asset-building support, deposited into a personalized portfolio account. This initiative aims to help young people develop sound financial habits and establish a stable economic foundation.
Following the first round of the program this year, an additional group of participants will be recruited in 2026, bringing the total number of youth beneficiaries to 74. The asset-building support funds are provided through a designated donation from the Community Chest of Korea, also known as "Sarangui Yeolmae," and Woori Investment & Securities plans to enhance the program’s sustainability and effectiveness in cooperation with its partners.
