Namyangju City in Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Joo Kwangdeok) announced on the 22nd that it had signed a "Public-Academic Cooperation Agreement for AI Industrial Cluster Development" with Daejin University (President Jang Seokhwan) at city hall.

View original imageThis agreement was promoted to lay the foundation for mutual growth of the region, industry, and education by building an AI industrial ecosystem in connection with the development of the Wangsuk Urban High-Tech Industrial Complex.
About ten people, including Mayor Joo Kwangdeok, President Jang Seokhwan, relevant public officials, and university staff, attended the signing ceremony to share the significance of the agreement and discuss ways to collaborate on the creation of the AI industrial cluster.
Through this agreement, the two institutions will cooperate in nine areas for the development of an AI industrial cluster centered on the Wangsuk Urban High-Tech Industrial Complex, including joint policy development, talent cultivation and educational cooperation, establishing a foundation for startups and industrial growth, and building convergence infrastructure and the cluster itself.
With this agreement, the city plans to establish a concrete foundation for becoming the leading AI industrial hub in the metropolitan area and a future high-tech industrial base city representing northern Gyeonggi Province, centered on the Wangsuk Urban High-Tech Industrial Complex.
Mayor Joo Kwangdeok stated, "This agreement is an important first step in enhancing Namyangju City's future competitiveness by going beyond the boundaries of administration and education," adding, "By using AI technology as a bridge, industry, talent, and administration will work closely together to build a mutually beneficial model where the region's industry, education, and administration are organically connected."
