Cube Entertainment's (G)I-DLE Achieves Resurgence on Oricon with Japanese EP 'i-dle'... No. 1 on Daily Chart for 3 Consecutive Days
Cube Entertainment (hereafter Cube Entertainment) announced on October 22 that the group (G)I-DLE has achieved a resurgence on the Japanese Oricon chart as well.
The Japanese EP "i-dle" by (G)I-DLE (Miyeon, Minnie, Soyeon, Yuqi, Shuhua) maintained the No. 1 spot on the Oricon Daily Album Chart in Japan for three consecutive days from October 18 to 20. The album, released on October 3, re-entered the chart and climbed to the top, proving its strong local popularity.
Immediately after its release, "i-dle" topped the Oricon Daily Album Chart and also ranked at the top of various global platforms, including Billboard Japan, Apple Music, iTunes, and China's largest music platform QQ Music. Notably, the group achieved the rare feat of returning to No. 1 on the Oricon chart two weeks after the album's release.
"i-dle," the first album (G)I-DLE released in Japan after their rebranding, features a total of five tracks: the title track "どうしよっかな (Where Do We Go)" written and composed by Soyeon, "愛せなかった世界へ永遠にじゃあね (Farewell to the World)," "Invincible," "Queencard," and the Japanese version of their signature sleeper hit "Because I Hate Being Sick."
