It was reported that a local resident noticed a foul-smelling sack, opened it, found the body, and alerted the police.
A local government official explained, "On the evening of the incident, a vehicle carrying two men was seen near the scene. After stopping the car, they took out a large sack and abandoned it in the forest by the roadside before leaving."
Police stated that the body appears to be that of a Chinese man in his 40s and is believed to have been killed several days prior. One police official said, "There was a strong odor of decomposition from the sack, and it appears the suspects abandoned the body in a secluded area. We are also not ruling out the possibility that the case may be connected to online fraud."
The body has now been moved to a nearby temple for further investigation.
