It is co-hosted by Lotte, the Foundation for Large & Small Business, Agriculture and Fisheries Cooperation, and KOTRA (Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency). Fifty leading Korean SMEs in various sectors, including beauty, food, and household goods, will participate.
During the event, more than 200 buyers from 76 European companies, including those from Germany, Hungary, and Romania, will be invited for export consultations. At the B2C (business-to-consumer) promotion fair, products from Korean SMEs will be sold on-site to help identify local market demand and preferences, and to explore product competitiveness and improvement directions. Additional programs will showcase Korean products and culture locally, such as a K-beauty showcase, cooking shows, and Korean cultural performances.
The Lotte-Korea Brand Expo was first launched in Taiwan in 2016 and has since been held 20 times in 17 countries, including Germany, the United States, Australia, and Vietnam. Lotte is operating programs focused on export consultations and promotional events to help Korean SMEs achieve tangible results in overseas markets. In fact, by the first half of this year, about 1,460 SMEs had participated in the Brand Expo, conducting approximately 10,380 export consultations, with total consultation results reaching 1.15 billion dollars (about 1.65 trillion won).
