The existing parking lot, which previously had 62 spaces, has been expanded to a three-story, four-level structure with 190 spaces. A total of 8 billion won from national, city, and district budgets was invested in the project. Dedicated parking spaces for people with disabilities and pregnant women, as well as 10 electric vehicle charging stations, have also been installed.
This project was implemented to meet the parking demand of visitors to Songjeong Five-Day Market and the Gwangsan-ro shopping district. Since August, the facility has been temporarily open for a trial run. Gwangsan District incorporated residents' feedback through public briefings, aiming to ease traffic congestion and improve access to the commercial area.
