Fire at Seoul Center Building Near Seoul Plaza Fully Extinguished in 1 Hour 30 Minutes (Comprehensive)
The fire that broke out at the Seoul Center Building in Jung-gu, Seoul was fully extinguished after one hour and thirty minutes.
According to the Seoul Jungbu Fire Station, the fire started on the third floor of the Seoul Center Building, where remodeling work was underway, at approximately 9:46 a.m. on October 21.
The fire authorities mobilized 40 vehicles and 140 personnel, and managed to completely extinguish the blaze by 11:19 a.m., about one hour and thirty minutes after the fire broke out.
Fortunately, there were no major casualties.
At the time of the incident, 125 people were present at the site. Of these, three received emergency treatment for minor injuries such as smoke inhalation. Fourteen people were unable to evacuate due to the smoke and were rescued after escaping to the rooftop.
