Anseong Mayor Kim Bora to Visit France and Germany for Social Solidarity Economy Cooperation Talks
The city of Anseong, Gyeonggi Province, announced on October 21 that Mayor Kim Bora, in her capacity as the chairperson of the National Social Solidarity Economy Local Government Council, will visit Bordeaux, France, and Berlin, Germany, from October 26 to November 6 to engage in diplomatic activities for the social solidarity economy.

View original imageThe social solidarity economy is a global agenda aimed at community revitalization, regional circular economy, and social integration for sustainable development. Since 2021, the National Social Solidarity Economy Local Government Council has served as the chair organization for the Asian continent within the Global Social Economy Forum (GSEF).
This visit to France is being made at the official invitation of the city of Bordeaux, which is hosting the GSEF Forum. The forum will be attended by French President Emmanuel Macron, major social solidarity economy networks in France, as well as ministers and heads of local governments from around the world.
During the visit, Mayor Kim and her delegation plan to interact with central and local governments from various countries and introduce Anseong’s social solidarity economy policies on the international stage.
