Gyeongsan City Achieves Second Consecutive Victory at Gyeongbuk Governor's Cup Public Officials Tennis Tournament
The Gyeongsan City Hall Public Officials Tennis Team secured their second consecutive victory at the 25th Gyeongbuk Governor's Cup Public Officials Tennis Tournament, held at the Geumo Tennis Court in Gumi on October 17 and 18.
This year's tournament saw the participation of 16 teams, including the Gyeongbuk Provincial Government, and more than 270 players.
The Gyeongsan City Hall team advanced to the finals as the top seed in their group after defeating Uljin County and Yeongcheon City in the preliminary rounds. They went on to beat Uljin County again in the semifinals and clinched the championship by defeating the Gyeongbuk Provincial Government team 3-1 in the final.
In particular, player Kim Youngsoo was named MVP, contributing significantly to the team's victory.
With this win, the Gyeongsan City Hall team has now claimed the championship in the 21st, 22nd, and 24th tournaments, finished third in the 23rd, and once again secured the title this year. In the "Tennis Beginners" category, seven members participated and two placed, further cementing their status as the strongest team in Gyeongbuk Province.
