View original imageThe Bacillus velezensis SCB88 strain, an indigenous microorganism independently developed by the foundation in Sacheon, has demonstrated explosive proliferation within 48 hours compared to general microorganisms, improved compost maturity, reduced odor, and increased fertilizer components (available nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P), and potassium (K)). As a result, it is considered to have high potential for use in eco-friendly liquid fertilizers and probiotic products.
Meanwhile, existing starfish liquid fertilizers have been limited in use due to issues such as insufficient composting and odor. However, the inoculation of the SCB88 strain has shown improvements in compost maturity and fertilizer content, drawing attention as a technological turning point for product commercialization.
