The Korea Creative Content Agency announced on October 17 that it is recruiting companies to participate in the "New Technology Convergence Content Startup Demo Day" in order to discover startups that combine new technologies with content.
The program supports innovative companies in the next-generation content industry based on advanced technologies such as virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), artificial intelligence (AI), and the metaverse.
Eligible applicants are new technology convergence content startups established within seven years as of the announcement date. After document screening and presentation evaluations, five companies will advance to the finals. The winning companies will receive a total of 90 million won in prize money: 30 million won for the grand prize, 20 million won for the excellence award, and 10 million won for the encouragement award.
The final round will take place at the CKL Stage in Gwanghwamun, Seoul, at the end of next month. The judging panel will include investment experts such as venture capitalists (VC) and accelerators (AC) specializing in new technology convergence content, who will evaluate the companies' technological capabilities and growth potential.
Yoo Hyunseok, Acting President of the Korea Creative Content Agency, stated, "This will serve as a stepping stone for startups with technological prowess and creativity to enter the global market," adding, "We look forward to the active participation of promising companies."
