The Hoengseong Culture and Tourism Foundation (CEO Lee Jaesung) announced on October 15 that, in cooperation with the Gangwon Regional Headquarters of Korea Railroad Corporation (KORAIL), temporary stops for the KTX-Eum train will be operated at Hoengseong Station during the 21st Hoengseong Korean Beef Festival, which will be held from October 22 to 26. This measure is intended to improve festival accessibility for visitors by providing more convenient transportation options.
All regular trains will operate as usual during the festival period. In addition, for three days from October 24 to 26, KTX-Eum train #881 (Cheongnyangni → Donghae) at 10:46 a.m. and #886 (Donghae → Cheongnyangni) at 4:47 p.m. will make two additional stops per day at Hoengseong Station.
To further enhance convenience for KTX passengers, a free shuttle bus will operate in sync with KTX arrival times, circulating between Hoengseong Station and the festival venue. There will also be special events for train passengers: visitors who present their KTX ticket at the festival’s main operations center in the theme pavilion will receive a commemorative gift for the Hoengseong Korean Beef Festival.
