View original imageUnder the theme "AI and Digital Transformation: Sustainable Growth Strategies for the Goyang Bio Industry," the forum brought together over 200 domestic and international bio and healthcare researchers, corporate representatives, and officials from medical institutions and universities. Participants shared the latest trends in the precision medicine industry and discussed collaborative strategies for AI and big data-based drug development and medical innovation.
In his opening remarks, Mayor Lee Donghwan stated, "AI and precision medicine are driving innovation across the medical field, including new drug development, clinical trials, and personalized treatment." He added, "Goyang City will collaborate with the National Cancer Center, universities, research institutions, and companies to establish a precision medicine cluster based on AI and big data, aiming to become a global bio-innovation city."
Kim Juhan, Vice President for Research at Seoul National University, delivered the keynote speech, emphasizing, "The convergence of AI and medical data is a key driver enabling medical innovation in a super-aged society." He stressed, "To realize precision medicine, it is essential to standardize medical big data and establish a trustworthy AI infrastructure."
