Man in His 40s Arrested for Threatening Citizen With Weapon While Driving Under the Influence in Gwangju
The Gwangju Gwangsan Police Station announced on the 14th that they had apprehended a man in his 40s, referred to as Mr. A, as a flagrant offender on charges of making special threats and violating the Road Traffic Act after he threatened a citizen with a weapon while driving under the influence.
According to the police, at around 10:20 p.m. the previous day in Jangdeok-dong, Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju, Mr. A is accused of threatening Mr. B, who was following his car, by brandishing a weapon. At the time, Mr. A’s vehicle was reportedly swerving on the road, prompting Mr. B to suspect drunk driving and follow him.
