Hwahae Reveals Interim Results of "K-Beauty Special Exhibition" with Shinsegae Duty Free
Sales to Foreign Customers Increase by Up to 56%
Hwahae Global, the operator of Hwahae, announced on the 14th that a review of the interim results of the "K-Beauty Special Exhibition," jointly held with Shinsegae Duty Free, showed that sales to foreign customers increased by up to 56%.
Hwahae provided ingredient information for products listed on the Shinsegae Duty Free online mall, as well as its artificial intelligence (AI)-based recommendation service "Review Topic," to assist consumers in making purchasing decisions. In offline stores, QR codes linked to the Hwahae Global website were placed, allowing anyone to easily access 9.5 million real user reviews.

View original imageAs a result, the first event, "Hwahae's No.1 Picks by Shinsegae," saw sales increase by 31% compared to the same period in the previous month, with sales to foreign customers rising by 56% during the same period. The subsequent second event, "Shinsegae X Hwahae Beauty Festa," also recorded a 22% increase in sales, confirming continued interest in K-Beauty. In both events, Chinese consumers accounted for half of all foreign sales, followed by customers from the United States, Vietnam, and Japan.
The third event, "Hwahae★4.5 FW Beauty Picks by Shinsegae," which runs until November 30, will showcase moisturizing skincare products rated 4.5 or higher on Hwahae, as well as products suitable for glow makeup, targeting the upcoming fall and winter seasons. The third event will be available at Shinsegae Duty Free's Myeongdong main store, the official online mall, and at Incheon International Airport Terminals 1 and 2.
