Bomb Threat Emails Sent to Yonsei, Korea, and Hanyang Universities... Police Launch Search
Police have launched searches at universities, including Yonsei University, Korea University, and Hanyang University, after receiving terror threat emails.
The Seodaemun Police Station in Seoul announced that it received a report from Yonsei University at 9:36 a.m. on October 2, 2025, and conducted a search on campus.
On the same day, the Seongdong Police Station and Seongbuk Police Station in Seoul also received similar reports from Hanyang University at 10:32 a.m. and Korea University at 9:58 a.m., respectively, and carried out campus searches.
No unusual findings were reported at any of the three universities as a result of the searches.
The emails sent to each university contained threats claiming that explosives had been planted on campus.
