Hanwha Expands 'Support Program for Youth Preparing for Independence' with Green Umbrella

Hanwha Corporation announced on October 2 that it will expand its partnership with Green Umbrella Child Fund to support a stable transition for youth leaving protective care facilities.
On September 30, Hanwha Corporation signed a business agreement with Green Umbrella at the Hanwha Building in Janggyo-dong, Seoul. The company plans to provide an additional 100 million won to open the second 'Hope Nest' facility exclusively for youth preparing for independence within this year. The facility will be designed as a space where young people can receive education and hands-on training for independent living in a safe environment.

View original imageThe company will also operate career exploration programs utilizing its headquarters and partner company sites. Hanwha employees will participate as career mentors, supporting young people in exploring career paths and settling into society.
Jeon Changsoo, Head of Human Resources Support at Hanwha, stated, "We will provide support so that young people can proactively design their own futures." Shin Jeongwon, Head of Green Umbrella, also commented, "As the program expands, we will continue to provide tailored support."
