Notably, Dong-A University is the only institution to operate the US program in both the first and second halves of the year, despite the challenging conditions for US visa issuance.
The second-half program consists of logistics and trade, business, and technician fields. Participating students will complete 620 hours of domestic training over seven months until April next year.
The training includes native English conversation, English resume writing, English interview preparation, visa preparation, and job-specific education. Afterward, students will work at major corporations and local companies in key US cities such as New York and California, earning an annual salary of at least $40,000.
Prior to the program’s operation, Dong-A University held the ‘19th K-Move School US Global Expert Overseas Employment Program Employment Camp’ at Homers Hotel in Gwangalli, Busan, on the 26th and 27th. The camp featured a special lecture by Dewey Moore, Consul at the US Consulate in Busan (“Understanding American Culture”), mentoring by trainees currently employed in the US, job matching, and guidance on the visa issuance process.
Since 2013, Dong-A University has been selected for the K-Move project for 13 consecutive years, receiving approximately 6 billion won in government support and helping over 550 students secure employment at local companies in the United States.
