Yangyang County to Hold Tasting and Promotional Event for Processed Products Developed by Agricultural Products Processing Center
Local Food Market Event from October 2 to 4
Featuring Potato Pancake Paste, Kangdoenjang, and Basil Pesto
Yangyang County in Gangwon Province will hold a tasting and promotional event for new products from the Agricultural Products Processing Center at the "Maeil Ahopsi Yangyang Local Food Market" from October 2 to October 4, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. each day. The event aims to increase the added value of local agricultural products and promote the consumption of processed goods.
During the event, consumers will have the opportunity to taste and experience three newly developed processed products from the Comprehensive Processing Center: ▲ "Yangyang Potato Pancake Paste" (for easy cooking), ▲ "Yangyang Sseuk Sseuk Kangdoenjang" (for use as a side dish with rice), and ▲ "Herba Basil Pesto" (for seasoning and sauce).
Yangyang County plans to use this event to widely promote the excellence of local agricultural processed products and to actively reflect consumer feedback in future product improvements and market expansion.
In addition, the event is expected to provide new income opportunities for local farmers and contribute to the revitalization of the local food market.

Hwang Byunggil, Director of the Agricultural Technology Center, said, "The processed products developed at the Agricultural Products Processing Center are made using Yangyang's pristine agricultural produce, so I hope many people will experience them firsthand. We look forward to both residents and tourists participating and enjoying the unique flavors of Yangyang's agricultural products."
Meanwhile, the Yangyang County Agricultural Products Comprehensive Processing Center is equipped with four processing rooms (dry, wet, side dish, and sterilization) across 591.76 square meters and more than 70 types of equipment. The center currently produces 36 products in 16 categories, contributing to increased income for farmers and expanded consumption of local agricultural products.
