Unified Written Exam for Public Institution Recruitment in the Second Half of the Year
6,431 Applicants Competing for 194 Positions at 17 Agencies
The average competition rate for recruitment at public institutions in Busan this year reached 33.2 to 1, with the Busan Economic Promotion Agency recording a rate as high as 91.8 to 1, indicating that the enthusiasm for joining public institutions remains intense.
On September 30, Busan Metropolitan City announced the results of the application process for the unified written exam for public institution employees for the second half of this year. A total of 6,431 applicants competed for 194 positions at 17 public institutions, resulting in an average competition rate of 33.2 to 1. The application period ran from September 19 to September 25.
The Busan Economic Promotion Agency had the highest competition rate, with 367 applicants vying for 4 positions, resulting in a rate of 91.8 to 1. This was followed by the Busan Social Service Agency at 82 to 1 (246 applicants for 3 positions), Busan Transportation Corporation at 76 to 1 (2,813 applicants for 37 positions), Busan Technology Startup Investment Agency at 59.5 to 1 (238 applicants for 4 positions), and Busan Credit Guarantee Foundation at 51.5 to 1 (309 applicants for 6 positions).
Other institutions also saw fierce competition: Busan Urban Corporation at 15.3 to 1, Busan Tourism Organization at 18.2 to 1, Busan Facilities Management Corporation at 13.6 to 1, Busan Environmental Corporation at 13.2 to 1, Busan Institute at 31 to 1, Busan Women, Family and Lifelong Education Promotion Agency at 27 to 1, Busan Information Industry Promotion Agency at 35 to 1, Busan Global City Foundation at 21 to 1, Busan Design Promotion Agency at 16.4 to 1, Busan Cinema Center at 11.7 to 1, Busan Institute for Science and Technology Higher Education Promotion at 30.8 to 1, and Busan Cultural Center at 44.6 to 1.
The written exam will be held on October 25, divided into morning and afternoon sessions. The test venues and times will be announced on the integrated recruitment website on October 17. Successful candidates will be announced at 2:00 p.m. on November 5, followed by personality assessments, document reviews by each institution, and interview exams.
