Through this agreement, the city will operate the "Goyang City Childbirth Support Policy Promotion Center" at the KOVEE Baby Fair, the nation’s largest childbirth and infant exhibition, to be held at KINTEX from October 16 to 19.
By operating the promotion center, the city plans to introduce support policies for pregnancy, childbirth, and parenting to expectant parents and families, and to offer a range of experiential programs with participation from relevant departments and related organizations.
Messe Isang Co., Ltd., the event organizer, will provide exhibition space and planning support, and will cooperate to ensure that Goyang City's childbirth support policies are effectively communicated to many citizens.
In particular, during the event, visitors who present the Goyang City Multi-Child e-Card, which is part of the city's flagship childbirth encouragement initiative, will receive one box of baby wipes per person.
The city expects this agreement to serve as a leading example of public-private cooperation to address the national challenge of overcoming low birth rates, going beyond simple event participation. Additionally, by connecting a variety of pregnancy, childbirth, and parenting services with local resources, the city aims to strengthen its foundation to realize "Goyang, a city that is great for raising children."
Messe Isang Co., Ltd. also sees this agreement as an opportunity to go beyond its role as a simple exhibition organizer and to fulfill its social responsibility by fostering mutual growth with the local community.
CEO Jo Wonpyo stated, "We will do our best to ensure that the Baby Fair develops into a venue for communication where citizens and the local government can share the values of childbirth and parenting, going beyond simply promoting products and services."
Lee Donghwan, mayor of Goyang Special City, said, "This agreement is a meaningful opportunity to connect families with the information and support they truly need for childbirth and parenting," adding, "We will continue to make efforts to expand childbirth encouragement policies that citizens can truly feel."
