Korean Intellectual Property Office Resumes Electronic Filing Services, Returns to Normal Operations
The Korean Intellectual Property Office announced that, starting from September 29, electronic filing-related services have resumed normal operations on the Patentro website.
Although the office’s systems are located at the Gwangju Center of the National Information Resources Service and were not directly affected by the main office fire, some services, including the electronic filing system, experienced disruptions from September 26 due to system failures at other agencies.
In response to the restoration of services, the office has extended the submission deadlines for intermediate documents and fee payments, originally due between September 26 and 29, to September 30.
Additionally, for certain inter-agency linked services that are still not fully operational due to ongoing issues at other agencies, alternative services have been made available through the electronic filing site (Patentro).
