Jeongeup City to Minimize Medical Service Gaps During Chuseok Holiday... Emergency Medical Care System in Operation
141 Public Health Centers, Medical Institutions, and Pharmacies to Operate
Jeongeup City in North Jeolla Province announced on September 26 that it will operate an emergency medical care system for seven days during the Chuseok holiday, from October 3 to 9, in cooperation with 141 locations including public health centers, medical institutions, and pharmacies.
The city plans to minimize any gaps in medical services during the holiday period so that citizens can enjoy a healthy and safe holiday.
The "2025 Chuseok Holiday Emergency Medical Care Plan" will involve 12 public health institutions (1 public health center and 11 public health clinics), 89 medical institutions including Jeongeup Asan Hospital, and 40 pharmacies.
In particular, Jeongeup Asan Hospital, as a regional emergency medical center, will provide 24-hour emergency care throughout the holiday period. In addition, each public health institution and designated medical facility will offer emergency medical services on specific dates, and 40 designated "holiday-keeper" pharmacies will also be operated to minimize inconvenience for citizens.
The city will set up and operate an emergency medical care situation room at the public health center to provide information about on-duty medical institutions and holiday-keeper pharmacies to citizens and monitor their operation. Through this, the city aims to thoroughly manage the sites to ensure that emergency medical services proceed without any disruption.
Information on emergency medical institutions and holiday-keeper pharmacies can be checked in real time through the Jeongeup City Public Health Center, the Health and Welfare Call Center, the Emergency Medical Information Center, and the 119 Emergency Situation Management Center. The city will also actively promote this information via the city hall website, social media, electronic displays in public facilities, and banners, so that all citizens can easily access the information.
