Receives Enthusiastic Response from Locals and Tourists
The Gangwon Tourism Foundation (CEO Choi Sunghyun, hereafter referred to as the Foundation) successfully hosted the "Starlight Yoga" event with approximately 200 participants at the Sokcho Nohak-dong Indoor Youth Center on the 20th.

View original imageHeld under a backdrop of emotional lighting flowers and guided by a professional yoga instructor, "Starlight Yoga" offered a special healing experience where participants could relax and regain inner peace through yoga and meditation, accompanied by soothing music that fostered a sense of unity with nature. Every moment left a lasting impression on the attendees.
Despite the rainy weather, the event attracted many tourists to Sokcho, one of Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province's leading tourist destinations. Even beginners with no prior yoga experience were able to participate comfortably and enjoy a unique experience.
Prior to the yoga session, a variety of experiential programs were offered, including: emotional profile photos taken by a professional photographer, starlight tarot readings, creating personalized mood lamps, and a Hinoki cypress aroma healing experience. These activities proved highly popular among participants.
In addition, a performance featuring handpan percussion instruments-widely recognized for their deep, mystical sounds that aid in meditation, yoga, and healing-opened the event, providing participants with cultural enjoyment and inspiration.
All participants received gifts such as massage balls, Tigaktagak (a specialty product of Sokcho), yoga socks, illuminated rose flowers, and gym balls for pregnant women and preschool children, further increasing their satisfaction with the event.
Furthermore, Gangwon gift certificates were distributed, enabling participants to make real purchases in Sokcho and thereby contributing positively to the local economy. Participants expressed their satisfaction, saying, "The diverse and thoughtfully prepared program made the event even more memorable."
Notably, in line with the concept of "Sokcho, the Friendly Tourist Destination," this event featured a complimentary tasting area organized by the Sokcho Youth Forum and With Sokcho, where participants enjoyed a variety of foods, receiving an enthusiastic response.
Finally, the event concluded on a high note by distributing around 60 different prizes sponsored by the Sokcho Chamber of Commerce and Industry, local businesses in Sokcho, Maeksan Remicon, Sinhwa Food, Woorimedipharm Co., Ltd., Sungyoon Co., Ltd., and Doosan GSP Industry Co., Ltd. Many participants received prizes such as Xexymix yoga mats, Hereohtae accommodation discount vouchers, and special merchandise.
