It standardizes policies, procedures, and internal control systems to systematically identify, control, and prevent the possibility of corruption within organizations.
The certification award ceremony, held that day at the Central Conference Room of Hwaseong City Hall, was attended by Jeong Myeonggeun, Mayor of Hwaseong, Hwang Eunju, CEO of the Korea Management Certification Institute (KMR), and others.
The city explained that it received this certification as a result of implementing various policies aimed at fundamentally eliminating risk factors to reduce the possibility of corruption within the organization.
Previously, the city has established an anti-bribery policy, developed manuals and procedures for the anti-bribery management system, provided internal auditor training for each department, identified corruption risk factors by department and by work area, prepared control measures against corruption, and set anti-bribery objectives.
In particular, this year, the city has established a Comprehensive Integrity Improvement Plan and is pursuing a variety of integrity initiatives, including hosting the 'More Integrity' council, holding a declaration ceremony for mutual respect and integrity, and operating the Integrity Connection Challenge.
