Seo-gu District in Gwangju to Host "Presidential Committee for the Era of Local Autonomy" on the 26th
Special Lecture by Chairman Kim Kyungsoo of the Local Era Committee
Seo-gu District in Gwangju announced on the 25th that the Presidential Committee for the Era of Local Autonomy will be held at 5 p.m. on the 26th at the Seobitmaru Culture and Arts Center, under the theme "Local Governments Ask, and Chairman Kim Kyungsoo of the Local Era Committee Answers."
This event, co-hosted by the five autonomous districts of Gwangju and organized by Seo-gu District, will serve as the first communication platform between the Local Era Committee and basic local governments. Around 300 participants, including young people, community activists, and small business owners, are expected to attend and share their views on balanced regional development and strategies for mutual cooperation.
The first session will feature a keynote speech by Chairman Kim Kyungsoo on the national direction for decentralization and balanced development. The second session, moderated by Seo-gu District Mayor Kim Ikang, will offer an open discussion on major issues and policies in areas such as autonomy, the economy, youth, and culture.
The Local Era Committee is seeking to promote balanced development in local autonomy through active communication with basic local governments that are practicing grassroots democracy.
