View original imageHwasun County (Governor Koo Bokgyu) announced that on the 24th, it held the second progress report meeting for securing national and provincial funding for 2026 in the county office's small conference room, with the heads of relevant departments in attendance.
The meeting focused on sharing updates regarding the inclusion of projects in the central government budget and those proposed to Jeollanam-do for 2026 national and provincial funding, as well as discussing future response strategies in detail.
The proposed projects for next year's national and provincial funding total 152 cases (42 new projects and 110 ongoing projects) with a combined value of 123.7 billion won. As of the end of August, 81 projects amounting to 80.2 billion won have been reflected in the budget, while 55 projects totaling 23.3 billion won remain unconfirmed.
Major projects include: ▲ Seotae 2-ri Comprehensive Disaster Risk Management Project (6.5 billion won) ▲ Peptide Advanced New Drug Core Source Technology Development and Platform Establishment (6.2 billion won) ▲ Hwasun County Rural Area Maintenance Project (4.6 billion won) ▲ Hwasun County Abandoned Mine Area Economic Promotion Project (3.1 billion won) ▲ Sapyeong Disaster Risk Area Improvement Project (2.7 billion won) ▲ Hwasun-eup Public Sewage Treatment Facility Expansion Project (2.7 billion won). These projects aim to create prosperous rural communities, revitalize the vaccine and tourism industries, and expand living SOC (social overhead capital) to enhance residents' quality of life.
