Over the next five years, the project aims to foster regional innovation and development through collaboration between the region and universities, with the goal of overcoming the risk of regional extinction and the challenges faced by local universities.
Through this project, Korea Golf Science and Technology University plans to return its specialized expertise in the golf sector to the local community and contribute to nurturing golf talent and expanding the industry. The university also intends to help revitalize the local economy by increasing the population residing in the area through connections with the golf industry.
In particular, considering the severe super-aging issue in Hoengseong County, the university will establish the 'Regional Crisis Response Joint Research Institute G-Lab,' which is expected to play a pivotal role in addressing various local issues arising from aging demographics.
