Signing of MOU to Overcome Low Birth Rates and Support Couples Facing Infertility
Dong-A Otsuka announced on September 24 that it had signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Maria Hospital at the Dong-A Otsuka Seoul office to collaborate on overcoming low birth rates and supporting couples facing infertility. The signing ceremony was attended by Lim Taewon, Chairman of the Maria Hospital Foundation, Park Chulho, CEO and President of Dong-A Otsuka, and other key representatives from both organizations.
Through this agreement, Maria Hospital will provide the ion beverage "Pocari Sweat Ion Water" to couples undergoing infertility treatments at its 10 main and branch hospitals nationwide, with nationwide logistics support from Dong-A Otsuka. Maria Hospital partnered with Dong-A Otsuka, recognizing the need for hydration and electrolyte supplementation during the in vitro fertilization and management process for couples facing infertility.

This initiative goes beyond simple corporate welfare, as the company intends to contribute to solving social issues by supporting infertility treatment for young employees.
