Marines Conduct Live-Fire Drill in Northwest Islands... Over 170 Rounds Fired with K-9 Howitzers
The South Korean military conducted a live-fire maritime drill near Yeonpyeong Island, close to the Northern Limit Line (NLL) in the West Sea.
The Northwest Islands Defense Command announced on the 24th that the third-quarter maritime live-fire training for this year, involving the 6th Marine Brigade and the Yeonpyeong Unit, was completed without any issues.
Approximately 170 rounds were fired during the exercise, utilizing unit-assigned weaponry such as the K-9 self-propelled howitzer.
