Yangju City in Gyeonggi Province is simultaneously promoting the origin labeling of agricultural and marine products and conducting intensive inspections ahead of the Chuseok holiday. Key items under management include agricultural and marine products used for ancestral rites and gifts. If any suspected violations are found, guidance and corrective measures will be provided on-site, and additional verification procedures will be carried out if necessary.
In particular, on September 22, a citizen participation promotional campaign was held in the Deokjeong Market area, where origin labeling monitors and city officials guided merchants on proper labeling methods and distributed leaflets, while also carrying out promotional activities targeting citizens.
