Pocheon City to Host Various Experience Programs at Hantangang World Geopark for Chuseok
Pocheon City in Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Baek Younghyeon) announced on September 24 that, in celebration of Chuseok, the largest traditional Korean holiday, it will host a variety of cultural and experiential events at the Hantangang World Geopark for four days from October 7 to 10.

View original imageAt the Hantangang World Geopark Center, visitors can enjoy traditional folk games, family movie screenings, geological cake and cookie making, and mother-of-pearl craft experiences with their families.
In addition, at the rock experience area in front of Bidulginang Falls, there will be a range of hands-on programs such as traditional folk games, making Hanbok keyrings, and making beoseon (traditional Korean socks) keyrings, all designed for multiple generations to participate together. The crafting programs require a fee and registration is available on-site.
Furthermore, guided tours by geopark interpreters will be offered free of charge at the Hantangang World Geopark Center, Bidulginang Falls, Meonguri Gorge, and Hwajeokyeon.
A Pocheon City official stated, "Hantangang World Geopark is not only of geological significance but also serves as an open space where local residents and tourists can share culture," adding, "We hope you will enjoy a special time where tradition and modernity come together at Hantangang World Geopark this Chuseok."
