On September 24, CJ Freshway announced that it has launched new products in collaboration with 60 Gye Chicken, the chicken brand of the restaurant franchise company Jang’s Food. This partnership was planned to help food material distribution clients expand their sales channels and to enhance the competitiveness of online products.

The new products are refrigerated ready-to-eat meals inspired by 60 Gye Chicken’s popular menu items, “Ganzi Chicken” and “Hahahat Chicken.” The lineup consists of two varieties: “Ganzi Chicken Rice Ball,” featuring a special soy sauce, and the spicy “Hahahat Chicken Rice Ball.”
These products will initially be sold exclusively online through CJ Freshway’s official Naver Smart Store, with plans to gradually expand to additional distribution channels in the future.
This collaboration serves as an example of mutual growth, where a food material distributor commercializes a client’s brand assets, allowing both companies to generate profits together. CJ Freshway contributed its product planning and distribution capabilities, while the client provided menu competitiveness, resulting in an expanded online-based revenue model compared to before.
CJ Freshway plans to enhance product competitiveness by collaborating with a variety of partners, including food material distribution clients and food manufacturing partners, and to expand its customer base to business-to-consumer (B2C) through its online distribution business.
