View original imageThis seminar was organized to provide practical information to help Korean companies successfully enter the U.S. federal government procurement market, which is valued at 755.1 billion dollars annually. Over 150 employees from small and medium-sized export companies, as well as mid-sized enterprises seeking to enter the market, attended the event.
Matthew Lee, President of the Korean Business Enterprise, served as a speaker and introduced the characteristics of the procurement market by U.S. federal government departments, the registration requirements and bidding procedures under federal procurement regulations, and successful procurement case studies. In particular, he provided a detailed explanation of how to utilize the small business support and growth promotion programs implemented by the U.S. Small Business Administration as a way to increase the chances of entering the procurement market.
Jeong Heecheol, Head of Trade Promotion at KITA, stated, "We hope that this seminar will lower the barriers to entry into the U.S. procurement market and create new opportunities for our companies to pioneer new markets. KITA will actively support companies so that their efforts can be realized, including through follow-up consulting projects."
