Seo-gu Gwangju Issues 'Good Coupons' Usable at Good Stores
Seo-gu District in Gwangju is issuing 'Good Coupons' that can be used at Good Stores within Yangdong Traditional Market.
According to Seo-gu District on September 23, the Good Coupons have been introduced to revitalize the traditional market and address welfare blind spots during the Chuseok holiday. Paper coupons worth 100,000 won per person, totaling 62 million won, will be provided to 620 care recipients who have difficulty using mobile devices.

View original imageThese coupons can be freely used at 175 stores within Yangdong Traditional Market. For residents with limited mobility, members of the Community Social Security Council will be matched one-on-one to assist with shopping.
Previously, in July, Seo-gu District held the 'Gwangju No. 1 Good Street Proclamation Ceremony' at Yangdong Traditional Market and distributed Good Coupons worth a total of 40 million won to 400 people over two rounds.
The Good Coupons are issued using sponsorship funds from 'Good Stores' that donate at least 30,000 won per month. The coupons, worth 100,000 won per recipient, can be freely used at registered Good Stores such as restaurants and supermarkets by residents experiencing financial hardship. This year, Seo-gu District issued coupons totaling 350 million won, benefiting 3,500 people.
