Yongin City to Provide 100,000 Won Each to 2,000 Low-Income Households for Chuseok
Yongin City in Gyeonggi Province announced on September 23 that it will provide a total of 200 million won, with 100,000 won each, to 2,000 low-income households in the city ahead of Chuseok.
The city explained that it decided on this special support to help stabilize the lives of low-income families and to foster a festive atmosphere during the holiday. The support funds will be drawn from donations for neighbors in need, which have been specifically entrusted to the city through the Gyeonggi Community Chest of Korea.
The recipients are households with an income at or below 120% of the median income, selected based on recommendations from each town, township, and neighborhood. The funds will be deposited into the designated recipients' accounts through the Gyeonggi Community Chest of Korea by September 26.
