Hantangang World Geopark Center to Host Outdoor Performance "GEO VIVE"
Pocheon City Presents a Special Stage
Where Nature and Culture Come Together
The Hantangang World Geopark Center in Pocheon City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Baek Younghyeon), will host the outdoor performance series "GEO VIVE" a total of eight times from September 27 to December 20.
The performances will take place at the outdoor stage of the Hantangang World Geopark Center. Set against the natural backdrop of the Hantangang River, which has been designated a UNESCO Global Geopark, the event aims to provide citizens and tourists with the opportunity to enjoy culture and the arts in nature.
Professional artists from various genres will participate, presenting a diverse program that includes popera, electronic violin performances, a "Magic Bubble" show, and haegeum performances, ensuring enjoyment for people of all ages.
A Pocheon City official stated, "The Hantangang World Geopark is a globally recognized natural heritage site. Through this event, both citizens and tourists will be able to enjoy nature and culture together. We expect that this open stage, which brings together a variety of genres, will enhance cultural accessibility in the region and further elevate Pocheon's urban image."
Meanwhile, "GEO VIVE" is a multidisciplinary cultural performance that harmoniously combines bands, popular music, instrumental performances, and various acts. It is expected to become a key program in Pocheon City's ongoing efforts to promote cultural tourism.
