Airport Railroad Express Train Tickets Now Available for Reservation on KakaoT
Airport Railroad will launch a new service on September 23 that allows Korean travelers preparing for overseas trips during the Chuseok holiday to purchase Express Train tickets through the KakaoT mobile app.
KakaoT is the first domestic mobility platform to offer the purchase of Airport Railroad Express Train tickets. This service became available after an agreement was signed between Airport Railroad and KakaoT in October last year, followed by the establishment of an API (Application Programming Interface) system.
An API is a program that enables different programs or services to exchange data with each other.
When purchasing tickets via the KakaoT app, the fare is 12,500 won, which is cheaper than the regular price of 13,000 won.
Since March last year, Airport Railroad has also been working to make ticket purchases more convenient for foreign travelers by promoting API integration projects with global travel and leisure e-commerce platforms such as Klook, KONEST, and WeChat.
