This amount represents a 2.9% increase from the 2025 living wage of 11,230 won. It is 1,240 won higher than the 2026 minimum wage (10,320 won), corresponding to approximately 112% of the minimum wage.

Chairperson Yang Soo-hyun stated, "Yangju City has introduced the living wage system and has raised the living wage every year," adding, "We hope that the living wage system will help workers maintain a stable life, improve their quality of life, and revitalize the local economy."
