Mirae Asset Park Hyeon Joo Foundation Holds 6th Mirae Asset MEET-UP Project
The Mirae Asset Park Hyeon Joo Foundation announced on the 22nd that it held the 6th Mirae Asset MEET-UP Project at the Mirae Asset Center One Building, with the participation of over 90 overseas exchange scholarship recipients.
The MEET-UP Project is a program designed to broaden the perspectives of scholarship recipients and facilitate networking opportunities, featuring special lectures and networking activities.
The event, held on the 20th, brought together scholarship recipients from those dispatched in 2018 to those who returned from their overseas programs in the spring semester of 2025. Participants ranged from students in their early twenties currently enrolled in university to recipients in their thirties who are now active in various fields of society. Scholarship recipients from diverse backgrounds shared valuable information and engaged in natural mentoring relationships between juniors and seniors. For juniors who are concerned about their career paths and employment, candid experiences and advice from seniors already in the workforce made the event even more meaningful.
The special lecture was delivered by neuroscientist Dr. Jang Dong Sun on the topic, "The Future in the Age of AI: What Is the Most Essential Change?" Dr. Jang highlighted the differences between the human brain and artificial intelligence, explained the changes that generative AI will bring to industry, technology, and education, and discussed the qualities required of talent in future society, drawing significant interest from the students.
The networking session was conducted as a game-based activity called "Word Challenge." Participants searched for QR codes hidden throughout the venue to collect words and collaborated with their teammates to complete sentences, fostering interaction. Through moving and conversing together, participants shared creative experiences, making the atmosphere even more vibrant.
A representative from the Mirae Asset Park Hyeon Joo Foundation stated, "The Mirae Asset MEET-UP Project is designed to help scholarship recipients continue learning in various ways and develop the insight and collaborative skills required in a changing era," adding, "We hope this program will continue to provide a meaningful space for scholarship recipients to grow together."
Since its inception in 2023, the MEET-UP Project has been held six times, with over 450 scholarship recipients participating to date. The Mirae Asset Park Hyeon Joo Foundation plans to continue developing the project so that scholarship recipients can learn from one another, network, and further expand their capabilities.
