Local Businesses and Community Organizations in Ungdong 1-dong
On September 22, Ungdong 1-dong in Jinhae-gu, Changwon Special City, Gyeongnam, announced that it had held a donation ceremony for helping neighbors during the Chuseok holiday, with participation from seven local organizations and businesses.

View original imageThe Jinhae Machun Foundry Industrial Complex Cooperative, which donated 3 million won at this event, has been making donations of consolation money and goods to neighbors in need every holiday season since the end of 2007, with total contributions exceeding 100 million won to date.
In addition, the Ungdong 1-dong Residents' Association donated 500,000 won, while various local organizations contributed a total of 1.6 million won worth of consolation money and goods. The main branch of Ungdong Agricultural Cooperative donated 20 bags of white rice (10kg each) as part of the Chuseok holiday support, all demonstrating the spirit of sharing and neighborly love.
Kim Chisuk, head of Ungdong 1-dong, said, "I am grateful that so many people have taken the lead in practicing neighborly love even in these difficult economic times, such as the ongoing recession. We will ensure that the donated goods are delivered with warmth and care so that neighbors in need in our community can enjoy a heartwarming holiday."
