This has enabled automatic data collection, analysis, and real-time management across all processes. As a result, the company can now respond immediately to process issues and has improved the work environment to reduce human error during file management and editing. Additionally, by advancing its quality management process to track and analyze defect factors for each process, Prinpia achieved a 263% increase in hourly production volume and improved its process defect rate by 32% (from 5.5% to 3.7%).
Seo Dongil, CEO of Prinpia, stated, “Above all, the way work is done on-site has changed with the implementation of the smart factory. Previously, product management and editing were handled manually, leading to frequent errors and repetitive tasks. Now, unnecessary mistakes have been reduced, and we are able to identify and address quality and equipment issues in real time, establish management plans based on production performance, and improve logistics safety and efficiency in various ways.”

Yang Chanhoe, Head of the Innovation Growth Division at the Korea Federation of SMEs, said, “The opportunity to benchmark outstanding smart factory manufacturing innovation companies is significant, as it allows the industry to share successful cases and systematically expand manufacturing innovation on its own initiative. Going forward, we will continue to support industry-specific small and medium business cooperatives to serve as a hub for spreading the achievements of smart factory adoption throughout the industry, and help more SMEs not only achieve manufacturing innovation but also effectively respond to increasingly important industrial safety and environmental regulations.”
