Mongolia Study Abroad Fair Plants the Seeds... Dongseo University Strengthens International Cooperation as a Glocal Consortium University
"Building a Bridge for Educational Exchange Between Busan and Ulaanbaatar"
Dongseo University (President Jang Jeguk) assessed that the Mongolia Study Abroad Fair, held in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia from September 12 to 14, was a success.
This event was part of the official schedule for the "2025 Eurasia Urban Diplomacy Delegation," hosted by Busan Metropolitan City and the Busan Global City Foundation. It is being evaluated as having created new opportunities for international cooperation among local universities and for attracting global talent.
Hundreds of Mongolian high school students, parents, and education officials attended the fair, showing great interest in Dongseo University's academic programs, scholarship systems, and global exchange programs. Four Dongseo University students, who were selected as members of the Eurasia Urban Diplomacy Delegation, directly participated in local promotional activities, adding further support.
Last year, Dongseo University and Dong-A University were selected for the Ministry of Education's "Glocal University 30" project, establishing the nation's only private university consortium model. Through the joint study abroad fair, the two universities are further strengthening their international competitiveness based on a global consortium university system.
Han Kyungho, Director of the Office of International Affairs (Head of the Glocal Consortium University Regional Settlement SO), stated, "Through this Mongolia Study Abroad Fair, we have laid the groundwork for educational exchange between Busan and Ulaanbaatar and planted the seeds as a glocal consortium university for nurturing global talent." He added, "We will continue to expand customized global programs linked to regional specialized industries and enhance support for the settlement of international students."
