This specialized program has been implemented since Gimpo was designated as a leading area for the Education Development Special Zone, offering students the opportunity to pursue advanced studies in the arts and sports fields of their choice.
The first class was held for members of the badminton club, with former national team athlete Yoo Yeonseong serving as the main instructor. He provided one-on-one lessons for the students and also participated in doubles matches with them.
Students who participated in the class said, "We found ways to address the shortcomings we experienced during our regular club activities, and playing badminton with a national team athlete made us realize just how different their level is." Throughout the program, students demonstrated high levels of participation and concentration.
Thanks to the students' enthusiastic participation, Yoo Yeonseong also played alongside them without taking breaks, giving individualized feedback and pointing out areas for improvement and key points to watch for during matches, delivering a class that matched the standards of an advanced program.
