Changwon Special City in South Gyeongsang Province will implement comprehensive public transportation measures during the Chuseok holiday, a traditional Korean holiday, to ensure convenience for citizens, including those visiting ancestral graves.

View original imageStarting from September 22, the city will strengthen environmental maintenance of transportation facilities such as bus stops and signs, and will conduct intensive inspections of vehicle maintenance, cleanliness, and the management status of transportation workers at 14 bus transportation companies.
During the holiday period, a comprehensive traffic situation room will be operated to handle citizens' reports of transportation inconveniences. The city will also use traffic information display boards (VMS) to provide real-time traffic updates and guide citizens through congested sections, minimizing inconvenience.
On October 6 and 7, temporary bus routes will operate between Masan Station and Changwon Park Cemetery, as well as between Changwon Jungang Station and Sangbok Park, to provide convenience for those visiting graves.
Additionally, from midnight on October 4 to midnight on October 7, toll fees will be waived on roads managed by the city, including Pallyong Tunnel and the road connecting Jigae and Namsan, to reduce transportation costs. During this period, toll fees will also be waived on roads managed by the province, including Machang Bridge, Geoga Bridge, and Bulmosan Tunnel.
