On September 18 at 5:00 p.m., Jung Woosung attended the handprinting ceremony for the 34th Busan Ilbo Film Awards, held at the Grand Ballroom of Signiel Busan in Haeundae District, Busan. He took the stage in recognition of winning Best Actor last year for the film "12·12: The Day," also known as "Seoul's Spring."
Dressed in a black suit and sporting a beard, he said, "It is always a pleasure to participate in both the Busan International Film Festival and the Busan Ilbo Film Awards. I am honored to have the opportunity to present an award today as last year's recipient. However, I regret that I do not have a film to share with you this year."
Regarding his new work, he commented, "There is 'Made in Korea,' which will be released this December," but added, "It is difficult to explain in brief." In this Disney+ production, he plays prosecutor Jang Geonyoung, who faces major events set against the turbulent backdrop of the 1970s.
This marks Jung Woosung's first official appearance in about a year since the controversy over his child born out of wedlock surfaced in November of last year. At the time, it was revealed that Jung Woosung was the biological father of a son born to former model Moon Gabi, which fueled the controversy. His agency, Artist Company, stated, "The child revealed by Ms. Moon Gabi is indeed Jung Woosung's biological child," and added, "He will fulfill his responsibilities as a father to the end."

Last month, it was belatedly revealed that Jung Woosung had completed his marriage registration with a non-celebrity woman who had long been known as his partner, making them a legally married couple. His agency refrained from further comment, stating, "It is difficult to confirm as this pertains to his private life."
Other attendees at the event included Kim Geumsun (Best Actress), Lim Jiyeon (Best Supporting Actress), Lee Junhyuk and Shin Hyesun (Star of the Year), as well as Kim Youngseong and Jung Sujeong (Rookie of the Year).
