Daejeon Technopark Supports Global Expansion of Jinon Biotech, OAQ, and OQT
Showcasing Technological Capabilities at QWC 2025 in the United States
Three quantum startups from the Daejeon region participated in the 'Quantum World Congress (QWC) 2025' held in Tysons, Virginia, USA, showcasing their innovative technological capabilities.
Daejeon Technopark led the participation of three representative companies at this exhibition, which took place from September 16 to 18 (local time): Jinon Biotech (quantum-based drug design for new drug development), OAQ (development of core components for quantum sensors and information systems), and OQT (neutral atom-based quantum computing platform).
The innovative technologies of these participating companies attracted attention from local experts and buyers, and there is potential for this interest to lead to concrete discussions on technological cooperation and joint research for future market entry.
Additionally, Daejeon Technopark met with IonQ, a global leader in quantum computing, to explore directions for advancing the research and industrial ecosystem in the Daejeon region. Discussions were also held with the Fairfax County Economic Development Authority (FCEDA) on strategies for market entry and investment cooperation.
Furthermore, Daejeon Technopark plans to strengthen its collaborative framework with the Quantum Science and Engineering Center (QSEC) at George Mason University to expand joint research and talent exchange.
Through this participation, Daejeon Technopark aims to secure growth momentum for the quantum industry in Daejeon and accelerate its three major strategies of 'standardization, infrastructure, and market entry' to enhance global cooperation. At the same time, the organization plans to elevate the international status of the Daedeok Quantum Cluster, Korea’s representative 'quantum city,' and strengthen its connections with American innovation institutions and investment networks.
