Park Neunghoo Appointed as Chair of Gyeonggi Provincial Advisory Committee, Succeeding Former Chair Jeon Haechul
Park Neunghoo, former Minister of Health and Welfare, has been appointed as the Chair of the Provincial Advisory Committee, which serves as Gyeonggi Province's policy advisory body.
On September 18, Gyeonggi Province announced that it had appointed Park Neunghoo, who served as the 53rd Minister of Health and Welfare from 2017 to 2020 and is currently a professor of social welfare at Kyonggi University, as the Chair of the Provincial Advisory Committee and presented him with a certificate of appointment.
As Chair, Park will provide advice on checking the progress of major provincial policies, suggesting improvement measures, and planning and developing new policy strategies.
This appointment follows the resignation of the previous Chair, Jeon Haechul, on June 30.

The Provincial Advisory Committee is a policy advisory body that holds regular meetings every month to discuss solutions to issues facing Gyeonggi Province.
The committee consists of 21 experts, including the Chair, from central government, academia, and other fields, all of whom possess extensive knowledge and experience.
