Yeungjin College Department of Emergency Medical Technology Designated as Internationally Accredited Training Institution by NAEMT
On September 18, the Department of Emergency Medical Technology at Yeungjin College (President Choi Jaeyoung) was officially designated as an internationally accredited training institution by the National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians (NAEMT) in the United States, in the fields of Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC), Prehospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS), and Tactical Emergency Casualty Care (TECC).
The NAEMT training institution agreement ceremony was held at the Department of Emergency Medical Technology at Yeungjin College on the same day. Attendees included Yoo Eunji, CEO of NAEMT Korea (affiliated with the Eighth United States Army Medical Command in Korea), Lee Yangsun, Head of the Department of Emergency Medical Technology, and other related officials.

View original imageWith this designation, Yeungjin College has become the only institution in the Daegu region authorized to operate NAEMT international standard training programs.
Students of the Department of Emergency Medical Technology will now have the opportunity to obtain internationally recognized NAEMT certifications. This will enable the training of specialized personnel who can be immediately deployed in fields requiring rapid response, such as the military, police, firefighting, and disaster sites.
In particular, through this agreement, the Department of Emergency Medical Technology will secure distinctive educational capabilities, including: integrating internationally accredited curricula into regular courses to strengthen global educational competitiveness; enhancing practical training based on simulations of tactical scenarios and trauma care exercises; and fostering specialized professionals who can be utilized in both the national emergency medical system and special operations fields.
