Around 40 YouTubers Donate 12,000 Bottles of Water to Drought-Stricken Gangneung
In response to the severe drought and resulting water shortage in Gangneung, around 40 YouTubers donated approximately 12,000 bottles of water to local residents.
YouTuber Filial Piety Time, who creates content focused on good deeds, announced on the 17th, "We launched the 'Bottled Water Donation Project' to promote a positive perception of YouTubers and to participate in social responsibility." According to Filial Piety Time, the project was initially prepared alone, but after realizing the severity of the damage and that it would be difficult to handle alone, the YouTuber reached out to over 1,000 YouTube channels one by one with sincerity.
After spending several nights and a considerable amount of time on the effort, fortunately, more than 40 YouTubers-including Bameoseu, Nyangyiappa, and Neighbor Store Owner-joined the cause, securing over 12,000 bottles of water. All the bottled water collected in this way has already been delivered to Gangneung Arena, the designated donation site, in coordination with Gangneung City.
The donated bottled water will be delivered sequentially to vulnerable groups.
